The City of Angels witnessed citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a thrilling seven-game World Series championship. Fans worldwide joined Angelenos in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Turnout
Los Angeles area events featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Social media videos show thousands of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the masses, raising the Commissioner’s trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to do this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an interpreter.
The parade route concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the team walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and Ice Cube driving a light blue classic car around the field.

Festivities began prior to the parade, with Dodgers fans setting off fireworks in the roads of Downtown Los Angeles on the previous evening.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, named the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, commented directly about the victory.

In contrast, the team owner was met with a less warm welcome at the rally. Video footage from the event appear to show him walking onstage to a mix of applause and jeers, with jeers punctuating his speech.
The World Series acted as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An estimated quarter-million people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more enthusiasm.
“I feel like it’s nearly twice from last year,” he said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s so awesome to be a involved in this.”
